Baraja: "tHE TEAM kePT going AND COMPETED UNTIL THE END"
The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
Brand new Valencia CF signing, Pepelu shared his thoughts on VCF Media having recently joined Valencia CF on a permanent basis after penning a five-year deal with Valencia CF.
.
Raring to start
I'm happy to be here, especially since everything has been resolved after the summer break, and I'm really looking forward to Monday and meeting my teammates.
In the end, when Valencia CF contacted me, I saw their interest and all the confidence that they have invested in me and that in the end is too valuable. It makes a decision easier.
Attributes
Above all, I want to help all my teammates because my position is in midfield.
I stand out for covering a lot of the field, putting in many kilometres and helping to get the ball out while defending. I see myself as capable of helping in both facets.
Valencia region
I can show the team what being Valencian means too, because I have my home close by. Many people from Denia will be happy for me because it is close to my home. For all Valencians, playing in the Valencian region helps. It's great to be in a team like Valencia CF.
Rubén Baraja
I am sure that the coach will contribute many things to me because we all know the central midfielder that was.
I am very keen and eager for him to teach me and to contribute to my game, giving me more facets than I'm sure I can still improve. I'm looking forward to meeting him on Monday to talk to him and start working.
Mestalla
I came here last year to play, but playing at home is going to be different. I know Mestalla, so I have seen some great nights here. Hopefully from now on as a player, I can experience it too.
Reunion with players
When the signing began to be rumoured, I spoke with Andrés Almeida who coincided with me in Portugal. It will be a pleasure to share a dressing room with him again.
I also know people from here, homegrown players like Gayà and Jaume, who I also have some kind of relationship with. They are going to welcome me and I'm looking forward to being them on a day-to-day basis.
Squad number
We'll see what number is available for a new player like me, but hopefully, there is a number that I like. However, I think that the number is the least important thing. The important thing is to wear the shirt and start playing soon.
The fanbase
I want to tell the fans that I am here with a lot of desire, with great enthusiasm to show you who I am and I'm looking forward to the first match coming soon, especially here at Mestalla so I can share it with them.
